November 22, 2020 by Elizabeth Anderson Leave a Comment

It was time to find a CCleaner alternative as Piriform sold the company to Czech-based Avast. The application went from 4MB to 15MB in a matter of a few years, and it has a lot of bloatware that you can no longer handle. There is no doubt that Avast has designed the program to steal administrator information, and the same analogy applies to the Android app.

Why do we have to look for CCleaner Alternatives?

We have been using CCleaner since 2011 and installed the Android app on the smartphone, but we cannot avoid the loopholes exploitation anymore. Allow us to give you contributing reasons to switch to other cleaners in Windows PC.

  • CCleaner started to invade privacy, and there are many ways you can identify it.
  • The freeware started to get heavier in size and running background services.
  • The developer added many unnecessary features like Smart Monitoring, and it runs in the background. Honestly, there is no need for Smart Monitoring because it consumes RAM & CPU.
  • We don’t have the evidence, but we suspect that CCleaner is stealing personal information. You can read the privacy policy, which does not have strong terms against privacy invasion.

There is a popular saying “if you are not paying for the product or service, then you are the product or service.” The time has come to move on and switch to other free cleaners available out there.
